So you want to know all about Sis Meliss Family Recipes? Well, I love to share with people the history of something which has brought so much joy to my life.  My ultimate goal has been to specialize in manufacturing healthy foods from my own family's many delicious recipes.

The first product introduced was the "Garlic Vinaigrette Dressing & Marinade" which is based on my Nana's homemade dressing recipe. In 2005 Sis’ Meliss Family Recipes was born from my love of feeding my family & friends delicious and healthy food!  I wanted to provide dressings and marinades which did NOT contain sugar and was made only with pure Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  My first turn in the food business began in a few Los Angeles-based Farmers Markets' located in Silverlake, Brentwood and West Hollywood. From this beginning, and with a bit of good luck, we were able to get the salad dressing & marinade into the Whole Foods Markets of Southern California. I was fortunate to be invited to partake in their newly created program they began to help support local vendors.  

Sis Meliss Family Recipes is truly a family business, started out of our apartment in Los Angeles, CA. Sis Meliss Family Recipes consists of Melissa and Richard, who have been married since May 2004. Richard is originally from Denver, CO and has a background in the public relations industry. Melissa, a true native of Los Angeles, CA has a professional background in Radio Broadcasting in front of and behind the microphone. 


In 2007 I was able to launch a Caesar Dressing based completely on my mom Natascha's recipe. Which I have named "Mom's Classic Caesar Dressing" in her honor.  With the hard work of my Aunt Carol in 2009, we have been able to open a branch of Sis Meliss Family Recipes in Northern California. Sis Meliss Family Recipes has been  blessed by all the positive response since our beginning. Richard and I are very thankful for the tremendous support received from our family, friends and customers alike. We are excited in the future to bring more of our recipes and dedication to quality to whomever would like a taste!
