SIS MELISS HOME STYLE SALAD
(serves 3-4)

1             Medium to Large Avocado
1             Medium to Large Tomato
1             Head of Red Leaf or Romaine Lettuce
3 TBS     Crumbled Tomato Basil (Mediterranean) Feta Cheese
4 TBS     Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Dressing

Slice the whole avocado and whole tomato into small pieces.  Wash & then chop the lettuce into small strip pieces.  Combine all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.  Serve & Enjoy!


SIS MELISS PARTY/APPETIZER DIP (serves 3-4)

1            Sourdough baguette
1 cup    Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Dressing


Slice up the sourdough bread into bite-size pieces and place onto serving dish.  Place the Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Dressing into a serving bowl.  Place both items on the table for serving.  Dip & Enjoy!

SIS MELISS SWEET GLAZE MARINADE (serves 3-4)
      **Can be enjoyed on salmon, chicken or tofu**

1 1/2 lbs. Salmon
   
OR
3-4 lrg       Boneless skinless chicken breasts

   
OR
1 lrg pkg 
  Firm Tofu
1/3 cup    
Honey
1 TBS
       Dijon Mustard
4 TBS       Sis' Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Marinade

Preheat oven broiler while preparing dish. In a microwave safe cup, heat honey in microwave for 20 seconds.  Honey will become “loose” for easy mixing.  Add and stir the dijon mustard into the honey until the honey is dissolved.  Add the Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Marinade to honey and mustard mixture (be sure to shake the bottle of garlic vinaigrette marinade well so as to get bits of garlic into your mixture). Put salmon, chicken or tofu into the broiler plate and pour ½ of marinade directly onto item being cooked. Cook item on one side for 7-8 minutes.  Turn over item and add remainder of marinade.  Cook item for 7-8 minutes longer or until done.  Serve and Enjoy! 
*Cooking time may vary for each oven broiler*
**If you do not have a microwave oven to heat up the honey, on a stove top in a boiling pot, heat 1 cup of water to just before its boiling point. DO NOT bring the water to a boil. Use the original glass container of the honey or place the honey into a Pyrex glass measuring cup. DO NOT use a plastic honey container because it most likely will melt. Turn off the heat to the pot and put the container of honey directly into the heated water. Let the container stand for 6-7 minutes.**



SIS MELISS BRAISE (serves 2)
      **Can be enjoyed on steak or lamb**

1 lbs.        Steak
    OR
1 lbs.        Lamb
2-3 TBS    Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Marinade
1 Pinch     Sea Salt
1 Pinch     Black Pepper (any grind you desire)
1 Small     Sprig of fresh rosemary

Directly onto meat, brush one side with Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Marinade.  Add pinch of sea salt and black pepper.  Place 1/2 of rosemary sprig (broken into small bits) onto meat.  Turn over meat and repeat procedure for other side.  Cook as desired (rare, medium or well).  Serve and enjoy!
*This recipe tastes best if the meat is grilled or broiled*

SIS MELISS THAI-STYLE MARINADE (serves 3-4)
      **Can be enjoyed on Chicken or Tofu**

3-4 lrg     Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
   OR
1 lrg pkg  Firm Tofu
1/3 cup   Honey
2 TBS       Peanut Butter (chunky or smooth)
1 tsp        Dijon Mustard
3 TBS       Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Marinade

Preheat oven to 375 degrees while preparing dish. Put chicken or tofu aside in a baking dish. In a microwave safe cup, warm up honey in microwave for 20 seconds.  Honey will become "loose" for easy mixing.  Add peanut butter into cup with honey and mix well.  Reheat mixture for an additional 15 seconds.  Add dijon mustard to cup and mix well.  Add all of the Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Marinade to the peanut butter/honey/mustard mixture (be sure to shake the bottle of garlic vinaigrette marinade well so as to get bits of garlic into your mixture).  Once the marinade is completed, add ½ of the mixture directly onto the chicken or tofu.  Bake on one side of item for 15 minutes.  Turn over item and add last portion of marinade.  Bake an additional 15-20 minutes.  Serve and enjoy!

SIS MELISS GRILLED VEGGIE SANDWICH (serves 1) 

1            Panini roll
1            Portobello mushroom
1 leaf    Red Leaf lettuce
3 rings  Red Onion (sliced)
2            Slices of Havarti or Swiss cheese
1 tsp     Dijon Mustard
1 tsp     Mayonnaise
2 tsp     Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Dressing

In a small pan or on a grill, lightly cook the portobello mushroom with 1 teaspoon of Sis Meliss Family Recipes Garlic Vinaigrette Dressing on each side. On the panini roll add the Dijon mustard and mayonnaise (as desired for each side of roll), add sliced red onion, sliced cheese, 1-2 leaves of lettuce. Once sandwich is complete, grill or warm in oven until cheese is melted.  Serve and enjoy!
